Best Lunch in Navan

Lunch in Navan has always been hit and miss for me. Don’t get me wrong we have great places that do great lunches but I find either the coffee is poor or the service sloppy.  Or vice versa, great coffee bad food. But today was different. Great food. Friendly service, excellent coffee.

Lately I have heard great reviews about a new lunch menu in  Ryan’s Bar in Navan. I love Ryan’s and their cocktails are amazing. The bar is clean and the staff always polite. Another major plus is they show the football. A must if I’m to get my husband out for a drink on a Monday.

Sorry I digress, back to the food. We arrived about 2pm ish and the bar was jammed.  Good sign.  I had already read their menu on their website which I might add was very easy to get around.  Fish cakes was decided for me and my husband had a toasted veggie sandwich

The fish cakes were spot on. More like fish burgers, I was very excited when I seen the plate arrive.  My husbands sandwich looked great. Fresh veggies and the best egg mayo he has ever tasted. Both served with a side of home cut fries.

My husband had 2 coffees I was thirsty and had a lucozade.

Service was super fast, friendly. I have to say Mick Ryan was on hand clearing plates. Adam with his knowledge of the menu and Margaret, the friendliest barmaid iv ever met.

Well done Ryan’s.  Looking forward to more lunches.
