I Love going to food fairs. Discovering new products and meeting the producers. Sheridans always puts on a great display and this year it was another great success.
It was a very cold afternoon with puddles of water frozen over. Gets you in the mood for a nice hot coffee, and the coffee is Sheridans is simply the best. All warmed up I was ready to start shopping.
Cockagee Cider was picked up for my sister. It was shamefully my first time to taste this. It’s another great product from The Boyne Valley. Also got some lovely Pesto and Garlic Butter from Blast and Wild. My first time to meet these guys. They have won numerous awards and well deserved.
I was really excited to see Scotts Cider here. I have heard great reports about their cider. They had 2 different samples at Sheridans. One cold straight from the bottle and one hot. (Mulled Cider) Both tasted great. The Mulled Cider was a welcome treat as it was so cold. Great fresh flavors of cinnamon. I purchased a few and the recipe for the mulled cider. Looking forward to a cosy Christmas Eve by the fire.
Bakealicious had her gorgeous display of cakes and breads. Mince pies were ordered for Christmas. My nieces love mince pies, so I’m looking forward to spoiling them at Christmas. I’m a big fan of New Grange Oils. I love the garlic one, my new favourite. Sheridans had some great gift sets of their cheeses and crackers. Perfect Christmas gift for any cheese lover. Available also in Supervalu Johnstown I think.
Delighted that I got to make the food fair, and pick up some new products. Looking forward to attending loads more in 2015.
